The USAPA is pleased to announce TWO Ambassador Retreats for 2019!

The first is the East Coast Retreat in February at the Club Med Sandpiper in Port St. Lucie, Florida, and the second is the West Coast Retreat in August at the Granlibakken Resort in Tahoe City, California.

The seminars and activities will be very similar for both events, and to give every Ambassador a chance to attend, we ask that Ambassadors choose and register for only one.

Keep in mind that there is a 3-night USAPA University before each retreat!

Each USAPA University is a 4 day/3 night pickleball extravaganza available for up to 48 people. There is an 8:1 student to instructor ratio for the clinics, providing each of the participants with the ultimate in hands-on coaching from top ranked instructors, as well as a full array of amenities including on-court and off-court activities.

HIGHLIGHTS OF THE WEST COAST RETREAT

  • 5 nights & 6 days accommodations at Granlibakken Resort, which occupies 74 wooded acres in a picturesque mountain valley – Check in Wednesday Aug 28th; check out Monday Sept 2nd.

  • Full breakfast, lunch and dinner, activities, wifi & tips included (alcoholic beverages are not included – beer and wine included only at nightly cocktail parties)
  • Workshops, round-tables, seminars & information sharing with USAPA Ambassadors and Board Members from across the country
  • Pickleball courts for open play and pickleball fun!
  • Nightly cocktail parties – beer and wine only
  • Limited to the first 200 ambassadors and their mates/partners

 

ABOUT GRANLIBAKKEN RESORT

Granlibakken is a Norwegian name meaning a hill sheltered by trees. Granlibakken Resort is family-owned, occupying 74 wooded acres in a picturesque mountain valley. Spectacular Lake Tahoe is just minutes away. Granlibakken Resort is at an elevation of 6,350 feet. Friendly but shy bears and other wildlife can be spotted on occasion.

All packages come with resort amenities which include an outdoor heated pool, outdoor hot tub, indoor sauna, hiking and biking trails, tennis courts and gym. On property Day Spa, Treetop Adventure Park, seasonal bike rentals and a seasonal ski & sledding hill are available for additional fees.

Check-in time is 4PM, and check-out time is 11AM.

1-2 beds, bathroom, studio unit with full kitchen & deck or Executive Lodge room with 1-2 beds, larger square footage.

All following rates are quoted Per Person:

Standard Room Double Occupancy $1036

Standard Room Single Occupancy  $1312

Deluxe Room Double Occupancy    $1156

Deluxe Room Single Occupancy     $1546

 

PAYMENT SCHEDULE

Initial Deposit $400 Per Person. ($100 Per Person Non-refundable)

Reservations will be accepted in the order received.

Once we accept your registration, you will be notified within one week and sent a link to submit the deposit.

Final payment is due on June 25th, 2019

Cancellation Fees:

Before August 17, 2019 = $100 per person

After August 18, 2019 = $400 per person

 

AIRFARES

The closest airport is Reno, serviced by many airlines including Southwest.

Transportation is available from the Reno/Tahoe International Airport at a cost of $49.00 per person, each way (2 or more passengers on the same shuttle) with a minimum of $98.00 each way for a single rider. Rates are subject to change. We require 7 days advance notice and all reservations must be prepaid or guaranteed to the master account. Cancellations received less than 24 hours prior to arrival or departure are non-refundable. Airport pickup service requires Granlibakken be notified of the airline, flight number and arrival time. (Subject to change)
