Welcome to the exciting, fun paddle game of pickleball played with a special perforated plastic ball on a hard surface court that is about half the size of a tennis court.  Points are scored by the serving side only and occur when the opponent faults.  The first side scoring 11 points and leading by at least a 2 point margin wins the game.  For the official pickleball rules and everything you wanted to know about pickleball, including a short video of actual play, please visit www.usapa.org

I urge you to give the game a try as anyone can play the game plus you get “fun” physical exercise.  For newcomers and existing club members we offer orientation and rules training sessions on a varying schedule (see Pickleball Group News on this website) held at the New River Sports Park

Since February 26, 2007 the Pickleball Club’s own on-line court reservations website allows club members 24/7 court reservations scheduling (see supporting document under scheduling rules) at http://schhpbc.onlinecourtreservations.com.  Another nice club membership benefit is free use of the club's paddles and pickleballs.  Any new player may participate up to three times after which they must decide to join the club.

All this for just $5.00 per member annual dues!  You will wonder why you did not join sooner as many members join after their first time playing because it is so much fun.

The membership application form may be found under Group Documents - Applications on this website.  Just print it, legibly fill-in the requested information and include the form with your check when you drop it in the lower mailbox at 12 Landing Lane.  I will then email you a club welcome letter with all the needed club information to get you playing.
